Over the past year Ruben participated in a variety of National and International tournaments in The Netherlands and abroad. Not only within Europe, but also worldwide (a.o. Japan, Canada and Brazil).
The results during the various tournaments have led to an improvement of his rankings. He has earned his position amongst the Dutch top players. Internationally he improved from place 260 at the start of 2016 till his current rankings which are shown on elsewhere on this page.
To support Ruben in his journey to accomplish his dream to become the world's best wheelchair tennis player, the Ruben Spaargaren Tennis on Wheels Foundation was founded.
The main goal of the Foundation is to acquire sponsors that would like to become part of the journey Ruben is undertaking and who will provide both financial and practical support. Besides the main goal, the Foundation also would like to promote disabled sports in general and wheelchair tennis in particular.
